Father's day half marathon
15 October 2018
Have you signed up for the Milk run?
Whether you call it the Guernsey Dairy Fathers Day Half Marathon or the Milk Run, you can't fail to be impressed by the commitment of islanders and visitors to run 13.1 miles on a hot Sunday in July.
This annual event has become a huge social and sporting event that celebrates health, fitness, community spirit and the rehydration qualities of Guernsey Milk.
High in protein
Guernsey Milk is high in protein, contains a wide range of vitamins and minerals and is a natural sports recovery drink for anyone who is serious about their health and general well-being.
All competitors are given a free half-litre of low-fat Guernsey milk when they cross the finishing line, as well as a medal and souvenir technical running vest or t-shirt.
The course is one of the most picturesque anywhere as it starts at the shingle bank at L'Eree, heads up most of the island's beautiful west coast before heading south along the east coast into the heart of St Peter Port.
With junior races and appearances from Daniel the Donkey and Roary the Lion it is an event for all ages.
